Why an Iowa Basement Tapes subscription? $3 a month helps support this passion project. Much of this music is out of print or not available anywhere except on a handful of physical copies that were handmade and distributed to friends. The goal is to digitize, preserve, and make this music available to everyone.

What you get: Access to the entire back catalog plus every release going forward! Even if you unsubscribe you still keep all the releases. The purpose is to keep this music in circulation.

Iowa Basement Tapes is not trying to make money off other people's art. We are simply preserving Iowa's history in DIY music and making it available to everyone. We do have a few expenses to cover: $50 a month for Adobe CC Subscription (recording the radio show/digitizing analog media), Bandcamp Pro $10 a month (batch uploads), and our server space $20 a month (for the podcast archives).

The Iowa Basement Tapes radio program is distributed for free to community and public radio stations. It currently airs every Thursday at 9PM on 98.9FM KFMG – Des Moines and every Friday at 11PM on 90.3FM KWIT – Sioux City & 90.7FM KOJI – Okoboji. The shows are then archived in a podcast format and available for free: apple.co/2MzdH5e
